Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades

High Atlas & Valley of Roses

We leave Marrakech in the morning and cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m) into the land of kasbahs. After exploring the UNESCO site of Aït Ben Haddou, we continue via Ouarzazate and Skoura, through the Valley of Roses, to the Dades Gorges, famous for their sculpted rock formations, for dinner and the night.

Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Gorges & Sahara Sunset

Following breakfast we travel the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through Berber villages to Tinghir and Todra Gorge, with its dramatic canyon walls. We then head to Merzouga, where a camel ride at golden hour brings you over the Erg Chebbi dunes to a desert camp, with dinner and drumming under a canopy of stars.

Merzouga – Berber Villages – Ouarzazate

Sunrise & Nomad Country

Catch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at your camp. We make our way back across the desert, stopping in Berber and nomad villages, and travel through Tinghir and the Todra area before reaching Ouarzazate for the night.

Kasbahs & the Road Home

After breakfast we return to Aït Ben Haddou for a closer look at the fortified village that has starred in Gladiator, The Mummy and Game of Thrones, then cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and the High Atlas back to Marrakech, arriving by evening.
