Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – Dades Gorges

Best 5 days from marrakech to desert begins after we pick you up from the hotel/riad. On our journey, we will travel through the Atlas Mountains. The highest peak in the range of Atlas Mountains is Toubkal with 4,167m of elevation. In winter and into spring, the higher elevations are covered with snow in a breathtaking view. The tour proceeds through the High Atlas Mountains, Berber villages, and Draa Valley. In Merzouga (the Hollywood of Africa), you will visit the international Cinema Studios. Before we reach Dades Valley, our way will go through the Road of Thousand Kasbahs. After you enjoy exploring Dades Valley you will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After having breakfast at the hotel, the next place will be Todra Gorges traveling through Tinghir’s huge palm trees and crafts. In Todra Gorges, the narrowest and the hight gorges in Morocco, you will enjoy the majestic sandcastles that have been standing for centuries. The tour continues toward Merzouga. Here, you will find camels waiting for you to ride heading to Sahara desert where you will camp, enjoy dinner, and listen to music and drums. In a traditional nomadic tent, you will have sweet dreams.

Day 3: Merzouga – Desert Erg Chebbi

In the early morning, you will enjoy watching the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. The day continues to visit a nomad family. With a warm welcome, you observe how the Berber pizza is cooked which you will have for lunch under a palm tree. After a short break, we will our way through the Sahara desert.

Visiting the oasis in 4×4 is what you will do next. After that, you will explore the village of Khaima, where the back Gnawa people live, MFISS mines, places in the desert, and meet some nomad people. Next, you will go back to Khaima where you will have dinner, listen to music being played, and spend the overnight in a nomad tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Ouarzazate

In the early morning, you will be able to witness the breathtaking sunrise if you want. Riding camels, you go back to the hotel where you will take a refreshing shower. The tour continues to visit Rissani where the biggest Souks (traditional markets) in Morocco are located. It is an interesting place to observe people come from the different surrounding villages to trade and buy what they need.

Later, we resume our tour to Ouarzazate traveling through the brilliant Draa Valley with its huge palm trees. In Ouarzazate, you will have dinner at the hotel you will be staying in.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

On the fifth and the last day of the tour, the destination is Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah after having breakfast. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a location where many movies have been filmed such as the Mumy, Lawrence of Arabia, and Gladiator.
