Itinerary:

Day 1 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Errachidia –Merzouga :

Before we leave Fez toward Merzouga, we will have breakfast. On your way, you will travel through Ifrane city( Switzerland of Morocco). Proceeding the tour, you will stop at Cedar Forest. It is a woodland area in the Middle Atlas Mountain. Cèdre Gouraud Forest exists between Azrou and Ifrane. In this place, you will be able to see trees climbed by the Berber ape and different kinds of birds.

Midelt (the capital of apples) is another city your day will be going through. The next place will be Ziz Valley where you will explore the abandoned Kasbahs in the Berber Villages. Ziz Valley is known for its palm groves and the variety of crops. After arriving in Merzouga, you will spend the night at a hotel where you will have dinner.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Tour 4×4 :

Taking a 4×4 you will be discovering Merzouga’s area. On this 2nd day, you will visit Gnawa village where you will enjoy a Saharan mint tea with one of the families. There, you will observe their lifestyle and listen to Gnawa music which is a well-known style of music with a plentiful repertory of ancient African Islamic spiritual religious songs and rhythms.

The tour continues to have a nice visit to the nomad families in their tents discovering their way of living. Lunch will be in a Berber village. Riding camelback in the afternoon, you will head to camp in the heart of the Sahara desert where you will have dinner and spend the night in a nomad tent.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Boumaln Dades – Dades gorges :

After we wake up early to witness the amazing sunrise over the sand dunes, we will go back to Merzouga to have breakfast and take a shower at the hotel. Retaking the tour, we will travel through Saghra Mountain (south of the High Atlas Mountains). The accommodation and dinner will be in Boulmane Dades, where the majestic sand castles and monkey toes (a fascinating rock formation) are a point of attraction for tourists, after visiting Todra Gorges (the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco).

Day 4 : Dades Gorges – Rose valley – Ouarazazte – Marrakech :

Ouarzazate is the next destination after having breakfast. On the way, you will explore the road of a thousand Kasbahs and Skoura’s palm trees. Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is one of the interesting places you will visit in Ouarzazate. It is one the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites (built by Et Hami El Glaoui in the 18th century). It served as the location for making many movies including Babel, the Lawrance of Arabia, The secret of Sahara, and Légionnaire. After having lunch, you will be on your way to Marrakech traveling through the High Atlas Mountains. On this 4th day, the tour comes to an end.
