We will begin our 12 days desert tour from Tangier and travel to Tetouan while passing through traditional villages. when reaching Chefchaouen ( the blue city ). Following that, we will visit the imperial city of Meknes, the Berber Roman ruins at Volubilis, and spend a full day in Fes with a local guide. traveling through various cities, Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland), Azrou, a cedar forest, Midelt (the apple capital), the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m), and the Valley of Palms before entering the Middle Atlas. Erfoud, Rissani, sleeping in a Berber tent, the Merzouga desert, driving a 44 around Erg Chebbi, a landscape, a Nomad, riding a camel, and Gnawa music are some of the highlights.
Then, after passing via Rissani Market, Todra Gorge, Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou, and Marrakech, we’ll take a different route there. We’ll have one day to visit Essaouira and a full day in Marrakech with a local guide. Driving to Casablanca, stopping in Rabat, Oudaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower, Asilah, and Tangier before continuing on to Casablanca.
At the port of Tangier 12 DAYS FROM TANGIER NORTH SOUTH MOROCCO DESERT TOUR, will start after a warm welcome. The adventure starts going through the Rif and afterward arriving at the wonderful city of Chefchaouen. Its Berber name signifies “horn”, roosted underneath the mountains of the Rif. Over slopes, in shades of blue, the white houses are built.

Leaving Chefcouen after having breakfast at the hotel. The destination is Fes. On your journey, you will visit Volubilis which is the most prominent Roman Empire remains in Morocco. After that, we proceed on the tour toward Meknes to visit the old Medina, which is encompassed by great walls.
After we arrive at Fez, you will spend the night at your accommodation.
The third day of the tour will be exploring Fez City. It is the most important and oldest imperial city in Morocco. This guided visit will begin by exploring the Fez Elbali (old city) which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. During your journey, you will stroll and discover the narrow allies that are lined between traditional shops and stalls.
The day continues to visit Madrassa Bouanania, the first established university in the world according to Guinness Records and UNESCO. You will enjoy the fascinating view of the entire Medina (city) after having lunch at a local restaurant. Next, you will have a short visit to the new part of the city (Fez Al-Jadid).In the evening, you will check in at the hotel.
On this day, Merzouga is the destination. On your way, you will travel through the fantastic panoramic views of the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will stop at Cedar Forest (the largest forest in Morocco) where you watch the Berber apes climbing trees. The journey proceeds to Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco), Azrou, and the interesting Zayan Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Before we arrive at Merzouga, we will cross Ziz Valley and Erfoud.
At the hotel, you will spend the night after a long day.
Today’s program begins with a visit to the famous village, Khamlia. Here, you will experience having Saharan mint tea with one of the families and listen to the unique Gnawa music. Desert Lake is the next place you will visit. It is where you can see different kinds of birds including Flamingos. Rissani is the following town we will visit. Known for its large Souks and beautiful oasis surrounded by palm trees. You will be back at the hotel in the afternoon.
You ride camelback toward the Erg Chebbi desert to camp and spend the night, but before that, you will enjoy the fascinating sunset over the dunes. In a Berber tent, you will have dinner and listen to drums under the endless stars.
After witnessing the wonderful sunrise over the dunes in the early morning, you will go back to the hotel where you have breakfast and take a refreshing shower. The tour continues to visit Todra Gorges through several Berber villages where you’ll have lunch. Dades is the next destination. Here, you will stay in a Riad or Kasbah overnight.
Ouarzazate is where we will be traveling to this day. During our journey, we will travel through a range of wonderful palm trees. Klaat M’Gouna (Valley of Roses), the ruins of hundreds of Kasbahs of Skoura, and its breathtaking oasis will be on the way. When you arrive at Ouarzazate, you will spend the overnight at a Riad.
Leaving Ouarzazate (the Hollywood of Africa) we will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Kasbah contains many kasbahs (forts). It’s served as a location for film many movies. Before we reach Marrakech, we will travel through the famous pass of Tizi N’Ticka which is 2260m over the Panoramic high Atlas Mountains (where you have a break to take pictures). After we arrive at Marrakech and have lunch, the tour continues toward Essaouira where you’ll stay the night at a hotel.
In Essaouira, you will be guided to explore the city visiting the fantastic corners. During the journey, you may enjoy the beautiful beaches catch some fresh air stroll along through the narrow allies, and walk along the local cafes and restaurants beside the ocean. In the afternoon, we will go back to Marrakech where you will spend the night at your accommodation.
Accompanied by a local guide, your tenth day of the trip will be dedicated to exploring interesting places and monuments. You’ll visit Bahia and Badi Palaces, Saadian Tombs, Menara Basin, and others. You will continue the journey to visit the fascinating Koutoubia Mosque and Jamaa El Fnaa after having lunch at a local restaurant.
On day number eleven of your tour, you will leave Marrakech toward Casablanca early in the morning. Hassan II, which took six years to be built, will be a place that you visit in Casablanca. It is the third-largest mosque in the world. After that, you will travel through the capital of Morocco (Rabat), before you arrive at Asilah where you spend the overnight at the hotel.
After visiting different sites in the amazing Asilah, you will head to Tangier where our 12 days desert tour from Tangier comes to its end.
