After having a Moroccan breakfast, a 5-day / 4-night Morocco Desert Tour to Merzouga is resumed on the Road of Thousand Kasbahs through the brilliant Dades Valley’s Berber villages. On our way, we will explore Tinghir with its huge number of palms and wonderful gorges. Your third day of the tour starts after having breakfast at your accommodation. On this day, you will visit the Village of Khamila where Gnawa people live. There, you will enjoy their music and observe the lifestyle. Gnawa music is a well-known style of music with a plentiful repertory of ancient African Islamic spiritual religious songs and rhythms.
The day continues to visit the famous Lake of Merzouga where different kinds of birds live including Flamingos. You may want to visit a nomad house where you will have a warm welcome. You can find there Berber the beautiful handicrafts at a cheap price. In the afternoon, you will ride camels to explore the astonishing sand sea of Erg-Chebbi. In a traditional Berber tent, you will spend the night under a full sky of stars. Here, you will have dinner and breakfast.
After having breakfast, the tour continues to visit Khamlia village where you will enjoy Gnawa music and observe they are an interesting lifestyle. Leaving that village, you will have the experience of visiting nomad people in their tents. In ER-Chebbi, which is the largest desert in Morocco,
you will enjoy the astonishing all-encompassing scene of black volcanic shake on the fields, the clear sky, the huge palm trees, and the magic dunes. The accommodation will be in a Berber tent where you will spend the night listening to drums accompanied by a camel guide after having dinner.
In the early morning, you will wake up to witness the beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes before you ride camelback to the hotel where you will have a shower and a refreshing shower. The resumes heading to Errachidia through Erfoud to Ziz Valley (an Alouite dynasty famous for its palm groves). On your journey, you will have lunch in Midelt.
Traveling through Cedar Forest( the largest forest in Morocco), where you will enjoy watching the Berber apes, you will arrive at Fez where the tour comes to an end.
