The 7-day desert tour from CasablancaÂstarts by Visiting Casablanca’s most interesting places is what the 1st day of the trip will begin with. Today’s exploration includes visiting Hassan ll Mosque. This 1st large mosque in Africa and the third in the world took six years to be built ( 1987_1993). After having lunch, we will continue our journey to Meknes. It is one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. Fez is where you will spend the night at a Riad/hotel, but before that, you will enjoy a visit to Volubilis. It is the prominent ruins of the Roman Empire in Morocco.
Today’s plan will be to explore the most ancient imperial city in Morocco, Fez. While you are in Fez, you will visit the well-known Tennaries (the most famous tannery is Chouara Tannery which was built in the 11th century), the Andalusians’ Mosque, and the new Medina(city). The overnight will be spent at a hotel or Riad where you will have dinner and breakfast.
Before we leave Fez, you will have breakfast at the hotel. On our journey, we will travel through Ifrane city which is known for its special, clean, and green environment ( some call it Switzerland of Morocco), and Midelt. Ziz Valley is famous for its massive palm groves, and the variety of crops. Erfoud, where you enjoy observing the fossils, and Rissani which is known for having the largest Souks (Traditional markets) in Morocco.
In Merzouga, you will stay the night at a hotel where you’ll have dinner.
Khamia village is the place you’ll be visiting after having breakfast. Its musicians are what this interesting village is known for. You’ll enjoy eating lunch in a nomad tent in the desert. After that, you will get yourselves ready to camp in the Sahara Desert after riding camels there. The night will be spent in a traditional nomad tent, where you will have a nice Berber supper.
One of the beautiful things that you will experience is witnessing the sunrise in the Sahara desert, after waking up early in the morning. After you return to the hotel riding the camelback, you will have a nice shower and take a refreshing shower. Then, we retake our journey toward Rissani, Tinghir, until we reach Todra Gorges where you will have lunch. Most visitors enjoy hiking in the highest, and the narrowest gorges in Morocco. The next place you visit after leaving Todgha Gorges is Dades Valley. Here, the majestic sand castles and monkey toes (a fascinating rock formation) are a point of attraction for tourists.
On day number seven of your tour after having breakfast, you will travel to Ouarzazate through the thousand Kasbahs. In Kalaat M’Gouna, which is famous for being a valley of roses, we will stop. While you are there, you may be able to visit the local cooperative for the roses. Before we reach our destination Marrakech, the tour will be going through Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah ( one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th built by Et Hami El Glaoui), and Tizi n’Tichka pass ( 2260m over the High Atlas mountains).
By a local guide, you will be accompanied to visit some interesting monuments in Marrakech. Today’s exploration begins with visiting Jamma el Fnaa (the largest square in Marrakech Medina), Souks, Koutoubia Mosque (One of the largest mosques in Morocco and Africa), Museums, and other places. Your day’s exploration of Marrakech includes also visiting Menara Gardens, Gueliz ( new city), and Marjolle. Casablanca will be your destination after that It is where your Seven Days Tour From Casablanca comes to an end.
Before we head to Rabat (The capital of Morocco), you will enjoy a nice exploration of Casablanca. In this city, you will visit some interesting places starting with Mosque Hassan II. It is one of the largest mosques in the world. This Mosque can contain 25.000 worshippers covering 24,000 square. Besides being a place of praying, a culture center with a library, museum, and a Koranic school are parts of the largest Mosque in Africa, too. After we finish discovering this giant building, you will visit The United Nations Square Mohamed V. After that, we will visit the Royal Palace’s surroundings.
After our arrival at Rabat, we will continue our trip by visiting The Mausoleum of Mohammed V. It is composed of the Moroccan king, Mohammed V, tombs, and his two sons ( The previous king Hassan II and Prince Abdallah).
Hassan Tower (a 12th-century still-standing monument), and Place des Oudayas ( It was built in the 12th century by Almorabits to defend their lands from Spain) will be also visited. In the afternoon, the journey continues to visit Volubilis (the prominent ruins of the Roman Empire in Morocco with its fascinating mosaics) and the holy city of Moulay Idriss I. Before we reach Fez, we will visit Meknes ( which was founded in the 17th by Moulay Ismail) where you can explore some interesting places like Bab Mansour (it was built in 1732 and known for its marble columns and geometric ornamentation), Hari Souani, and the old Medina.
In Fez, you will spend the rest of the evening at a hotel.
